Visitor’s comments on the Steinhardt Gardens know as Iroki

Being here is like walking around an artist’s well loved palette.  Full of colors and textures and unexpected spaces of contemplation.

An infinity of gorgeous detail…… Jerome’s artistic vision is not to be matched.  The design concepts are extraordinary & breathtaking… the extent, breath  & quality of  Jerome’s work is amazing.

A rare opportunity to view and enjoy one of the most glorious private gardens in the world…This is a once in a lifetime experience.

“We saw pictures and read an article in Vogue Magazine Australia and had to make the trip! Very spectacular- being a structural engineer- I love the variety of bridges and water crossings!”

“We look forward every year to seeing this garden. It’s beauty is a life changing experience that will certainly stay with us forever. We love the book too- a great story of inspiration.”

This is one of the MOST beautiful places I have ever seen. We don’t have enough superlatives! It is an absolutely stunning garden, the visual aesthetics are amazing. We just visited a series of Japanese Gardens in Kyoto, and have to say [quite a surprise to ourselves] that we love this more. Thanks so much for opening this to the public for even a day”

Words fail me. The ability to walk this magnificent property is an internal journey.

The gardens seem to take me to another time and place.

The Japanese maple garden is perfect.

Jerome and Carole have really made this property what it is, not only because of the way they have designed this, but because they have a way of creating a joy in what they do that inhabits itself in the rocks and in the moss and in the water.
